Aluminium Tower Bolt

A bolt is a fastener with threads attached to it. It has an external male thread which fits into a matching female thread namely a nut. A bolt contains a head which is hexagonal in shape with a cylindrical body with screw threads along its entire length. In other words a bolt is a fastener which is designed to pass through an unthreaded component to be held together by a nut. But a tower bolt is a bit different.

A tower bolt also called a barrel bolt which is a rod shaped bolt for locking doors, and are attached to one side of the door which is at the edge or the portion that opens and which slides into a covering that is cylindrical in shape and is fitted on the frame of the opening side. Tower bolts can be ferrous and non-ferrous both. A tower bolt is also manufactured from aluminium which makes it more cost effective as per the customer’s choice.
